GET TO KNOW
"The one certainty is this necessary pursuit of becoming familiar with the unknown."
Tatiana Velazquez has always been on the quest for expression as a part of daily life. Experimenting with various mediums depending on the circumstances and space- from working small with inks and pastel, to large works spraying paint onto building walls.
The streets became a gallery starting in 2012 when Tatiana began wheat pasting her collages in downtown Los Angeles, that then led to her sharing art around Europe on various travels. She began to receive opportunities to paint a few murals in South Central LA, Amsterdam NE, and Long Beach, CA.
Tatiana took on the alter ego "Baked Papaya" for a fresher style of work with bold and unconventional color schemes, that got her chosen as one of the local artists for Pow Wow Long Beach 2018.
